I got tired of only having certain types of clouds such as the typical billowing formations. There's so much more texture in the sky and the "mackerel sky" or altocumulus one was designed here. I like using it at an angle and in multiple impressions to fill in a sky. I also like coloring it in multiple values and tones to create variation in the impression itself. Then I go back into the impressions with additional tone in light values. For example, if I stamp 193E in blues, I might color it with a dark blue as well as a medium and light blue. Then I'll go back into the design and tone additional light and medium blue into the sky to blend the image a little and to bring out more areas of the image. Additional larger size of this image is in Cloud (Altocumulus) Lg. 194G. Also, can double for water ripples/patterns.
